Behind the Panels: Meet Lisa Wilson, Yes Solar’s Roller Coaster-Riding Project Coordinator

When clients work with Yes Solar Solutions, they are not just getting high-performance solar systems. They partner with a team of passionate people who bring energy to everything they do.  One of those people is Lisa Wilson, a solar project coordinator with a serious need for speed. During the week, she manages solar projects across North Carolina. On the weekends, she is often hundreds of feet in the air—riding the fastest rollercoasters in the country.

From Solar Installations to Soaring Coasters

Lisa recently attended a media day at Six Flags Over Georgia for the launch of a new rollercoaster. Why? Because she is a longtime member of the American Coaster Enthusiasts (ACE), a community that gets early access to major ride openings around the world.

During this event, Lisa was among the first to experience the Georgia Gold Rush, clocking in 14 rides in just 5 hours. You can even spot her in one of the promo videos here at the 2:44 mark, feet flying as she takes on the track with a smile.

The adventure did not stop there. After her day in Georgia, Lisa drove straight to Charlotte for Season Passholder Day at Carowinds. Where she rode the Fury 325, America’s tallest and fastest giga coaster, 101 times over the course of three days.  You heard that right… 101 times over a three-day span.

“There is something about the mix of speed, precision, and challenge that I love. It is actually not that different from what I do at work.” – Lisa Wilson

Always Chasing the Next High Point

Lisa’s next stop is Cedar Point in Ohio, where she plans to be among the first to ride the reimagined Top Thrill 2. It is the world’s tallest and fastest triple-launch coaster. Standing at 420 feet with speeds of 120 miles per hour, it is a fitting ride for someone who never backs down from a challenge.

Bringing the Thrill to Solar Project Management

Lisa’s passion for rollercoasters reflects the qualities that make her a standout solar project coordinator at Yes Solar Solutions:

  • Precision under pressure
  • A drive to keep moving forward
  • Commitment to making every experience smooth and enjoyable

The same excitement and precision she applies when tackling sky-high loops and steep drops translates into her professional life. Much like navigating a roller coaster’s twists and turns, project management requires agility, foresight, and an appreciation for the journey—qualities Lisa embodies wholeheartedly.

Impacting North Carolina’s Solar Scene

When homeowners and businesses across North Carolina choose Yes Solar, they trust us with a major investment. As a solar project coordinator, Lisa brings that same care and clarity to every interaction, turning complex timelines into smooth, collaborative experiences.

That dedication does not stop once the system is installed. Lisa is often the person customers hear from when something unexpected comes up—whether it is storm-related damage or a system check-in long after the project is complete. Her solution-focused approach has earned praise from homeowners across the state.

“Lisa in scheduling was extremely helpful in getting a crew to me even though I am some distance from them. The crew fixed my problem and checked all of my system. They were very professional and knowledgeable. Yes Solar went above and beyond to help me.” – Stanley R.

“Once again Yes Solar Solutions has ‘been there’ for me when I had an issue—and done a stellar job of it… The day after I spoke with Lisa (She’s a jewel in their office), Steven was here to review and resolve the issue AND he did so with courtesy and efficiency.” – Sarah D.

“Really impressed with Lisa, Steven, Chris, and River.” – Kimberly S.

Whether she is coordinating a tight installation timeline or helping long-time clients after a thunderstorm, Lisa brings consistency, clarity, and care to every interaction—and it shows.

 Why Our Team Stands Out
