South Carolina was among among those devastated by Hurricane Matthew. Thousands are still homeless, hungry and without basic supplies. For Giving Tuesday, our North Charleston office of Yes Solar Solutions is promoting a matching gifts program for the Lowcountry Food Bank in Charleston, South Carolina.
Giving Tuesday is November 29, the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Founded by 92nd Street Y in partnership with the United Nations Foundation, #GivingTuesday rallies, organizes and amplifies the philanthropic efforts of over 30, 000 organizations worldwide. The intent? To encourage and amplify small acts of kindness from giving donations, time or resources by harnessing the power of social media and people’s innate generosity to create real positive change in their communities.
To that end, Yes Solar is asking you to join us in providing food for those still in need. Click on the LCFB donate page and after filling in your donation information choose “In Honor of Someone” and enter Yes Solar Solutions. LCFB will notify Yes of the total to match. Any amount is appreciated, but the more you give the farther your dollars go with the Yes Solar match. Every dollar pays for six meals for children, seniors and hardworking families.
