Yes Solar Solutions and Argand Energy Solutions were proud participants in the ribbon cutting for the 238 kW solar photovoltaic system at Dorcas Ministries in Cary, NC on Wednesday June 13, 2012. The two solar companies partnered in the development and installation of the 884 panel solar array, for which Dorcas Ministries receives a monthly lease payment, and the opportunity to purchase the system in 8 years. About 100 people were on hand to celebrate the event, including Howard Manning, executive director of the Dorcas Ministries, Rob Lease, sales director of Argand Energy Solutions and the company’s president, Erik Lensch, and Stew and Kathy Miller, co-founders of Yes Solar Solutions in Cary, NC. The mayor of Cary, Harold Weinbrecht, and Kevin Campbell of Habitat, another tenant of the building also spoke. But the guest of honor was Dorcas client Keron Nutter, who spoke about the difference Dorcas has made in her life. The other highlight of the sunny afternoon was the food truck provided compliments of Yes and Argand, which got rave reviews for the tacos and burritos. A good day for the power of solar.
