This Cedar Grove homeowner decided to go solar with storage through Duke Energy’s PowerPair℠ Incentive Program. The final result was a 12.6 kW system with a Tesla Powerwall 3. Overall, their system uses 30 420w REC Alpha Pure panels and is expected to generate 19,400 kWh per year.
This stunning solar system made use of their entire roof. The system filled the wasted space and now is maximizing the sun that floods the space each day.
The incentive program is eligible for new solar plus storage customers that are homeowners in Duke Energy Progress and Duke Energy Carolinas territories. The PowerPair℠ incentives cover up to $9,000 or about 13% of the installed equipment cost. The incentive is in addition to the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) federal tax credit covering an additional 30%. Both the solar and battery qualify for this tax credit.
By adding battery backup to their solar system, these homeowners do not notice when potential power outages occur. The clean energy produced from the solar during the day is available as needed. It also reduces reliance on the utility grid and provides protection against outages.
We love the look of the Cedar Grove home and are excited to see more in their neighborhood.
