Freedom House Recovery Center in Chapel Hill, NC is committed to making a difference in the lives of people with addiction, mental illness, and developmental disability. Recently, the center was the proud recipient of a 5 kilowatt PV system donated by NC WARN. The project consists of 255 watt Suniva panels and a Sunny Boy inverter, and is projected to generate almost 7,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year. An anonymous grant is enabling NC WARN to donate solar systems to local non-profit organizations, with the goal of spreading the benefits of solar among those who can most most use it. The Yes! team is proud to have partnered with NC WARN, installing six of those systems.
