Holly Springs Solar

The homeowners of this Holly Springs residence had the goal of lowering their energy bills and reducing their environmental impact when considering going solar. However, after researching multiple solar providers, they discovered Yes Solar Solutions through our status as a Duke Trade Ally. To qualify for the Duke Energy PowerPair Incentive, their solar installation needed to be completed by a Duke Trade Ally.

What Set Yes Solar Apart

After receiving several quotes, they chose Yes Solar Solutions due to our offering of high-quality REC solar panels. When considering the minimal price difference on quotes and their familiarity with our work on a friend’s solar project, Yes Solar just made sense. As an REC-certified solar professional, Yes Solar Solutions is eligible to offer the exclusive REC ProTrust Warranty. This warranty provides comprehensive protection for an already reliable product. Not to mention, REC solar panels are widely renowned for their premium quality, backed by an exceptionally low warranty claims rate.

Plans for Expansion

This homeowner’s project features 20 REC Alpha Pure panels. and 7 Tesla optimizers to compose a 9.2 kW solar system. For energy backup, they also paired their system with a Tesla Powerwall 3 battery. The homeowners wanted to ensure their battery system could be expanded in the future, so they selected a battery location that accommodates space for the addition of Tesla Expansion units to scale their energy storage over time. These expansion units allow for an increase in battery capacity without requiring additional Powerwalls.

Solar Savings

Their project qualified for the Duke Energy PowerPair Incentive program, providing them savings of up to $9,000. With enrollment in Duke Energy’s Battery Control program, a homeowner can gain an additional incentive of $6.50/kW per month. This translates to about $92 each month or $1,092 annually for 10 years. A unique benefit of this program is that this credit can be applied to the homeowner’s minimum monthly bill charge, which can reduce their electricity bill to a negative balance!
