Kathy started Yes Solar in 2009 with husband Stew Miller, and the company was certified as a Woman Owned Small Business in 2016. Prior to starting the solar company, Kathy was the COO of the Primrose Schools of Cary for 11 years, which she co-founded with Stew in 1994. Her previous career experience was with NCR Corporation in a range of sales and management positions for 17 years, the last 10 as a Region Sales Director for the East Coast. Kathy sees the strengths the Millers bring to Yes are having both corporate management experience and small business experience, the best of both worlds. She sees her twin missions as advancing clean energy and cooking for everyone who crosses her path.
