Working With The North Carolina Clean Energy Business Alliance

NCCEBA and Yes Solar Solutions

Yes Solar Solutions, Stew Miller, North Carolina Clean Energy Business Alliance Members Visit The NC DEQ

On Wednesday, May 3, 2017 Stew Miller, Co-Founder and President of Yes Solar Solutions, joined a group of fellow North Carolina Clean Energy Business Alliance (NCCEBA) members and NCCEBA’s lobbying team in briefing the Department of Environmental Quality on issues facing the NCCEBA members.

The group met with North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality Secretary, Michael S. Regan.  Secretary Regan was named by Governor Roy Cooper on January 3, 2017.  The DEQ is the state agency with the task of protecting North Carolina’s environment and natural resources.  The DEQ administers regulatory and public assistance programs to protect the quality of air, water and land along with North Carolina’s coastal fisheries and public health.  As DEQ secretary, Regan oversees the DEQ with offices across North Carolina spanning the mountains to the sea.

Secretary Regan and his team are interested in NCCEBA’s support in reviewing the DEQ Permitting Process and building a stronger relationship with the Agriculture Department, and with Ag in general.  Another main goal of NCCEBA’s support is an open line of communication that will result in getting new DEQ Government Affairs’ staffers up to speed building the administration’s understanding of what a real grid of the future should look like. Stew Miller said after the productive meeting:

“Solar companies like Yes Solar provide cost-effective,  clean energy solutions which align perfectly with DEQ’s focus on doing what is best for the citizens of NC”

Yes Solar Solutions and Stew Miller work on behalf of the industry in many ways.  Yes Solar Solutions has been a member of the NCCEBA since the organization’s inception.  We are pleased to have this opportunity  to work with NC Clean Energy Business Alliance and the North Carolina DEQ, to advocate for clean/renewable energy.  We are also proud to continue to be a part of the effort to protect North Carolina air, water, land as well as overall public health.
