Embrace Energy Independence with Battery Storage

With Yes Solar Solutions, Your Power, Your Choice becomes a reality. Our state-of-the-art battery storage solutions, including Tesla Powerwall, ensure you are never without power, even during outages. Take control and achieve true energy independence.

Yes Solar Solutions helps homeowners and businesses reduce their reliance on the grid and provide protection against outages with battery storage solutions. Yes Solar became an early adopter of this technology by becoming the first Tesla Powerwall-certified installer in North Carolina. We are also a Franklin WH certified installer.

In addition to allowing you access at night, to the clean energy produced from your solar panels during the day, batteries can protect your home from outages and can be used to charge your electric vehicle. Battery storage solutions qualify for the 30% federal tax credit

Save up to $9,000 + the 30% federal tax credit when you install solar with a battery

Duke Energy’s PowerPair℠ program provides incentives for new solar panel installations when homeowners install a battery at the same time.

EnergyWise Home/ Power Manager Battery Control

EnergyWise Home/ Power Manager Battery Control offers an additional monetary incentive of $6.50/kW per month to let Duke Energy adjust your battery control operating settings and utilize electricity stored on your battery between 30-36 times per year.

  • Up to 18 times per winter season (December-March)

  • Up to 9 times per summer season (May-September)

  • Up to 9 times in the remaining months

A signal will be sent to enrolled batteries at a specific time by Duke Energy to temporarily adjust the system’s operating settings (charge, discharge, hold state of charge, return to normal operations, change of mode, and store energy) and provide stored electricity back to the grid.

(Duke Energy would not discharge the battery below a 20% state of charge.)

Customers can use their batteries normally outside of the ‘control event’ windows and are allowed 4 ‘Opt-out’ dates to deny Duke Energy access to the battery. Customers may opt out more than 4 times, but run the risk of being removed from the program if so.

The Tesla Powerwall 3

The combination of cost-effectiveness, reliability, and durability makes the Tesla Powerwall 3 an optimal choice for solar energy storage.

Tesla Powerwall 3 Features:

  • Integrated solar inverter transfers solar with high efficiency.
  • Supports larger system sizes than the Powerwall 2.
  • The Tesla App allows you to monitor and manage the clean energy your system produces with 24/7 remote access. You can set your battery backup reserve before a storm and utilize other features within the app.

Adding a SPAN smart panel with your battery storage can extend the storage ability up to 40% more!

How Battery Storage Works:

  1. Solar panels generate direct current (DC) power and travel to an inverter. It turns into alternating current (AC) power, which flows into your main panel and powers your home.
  2. Your home uses what it needs. The remaining power flows into your battery storage where it changes back to DC power and is stored in the lithium-ion battery pack.
  3. A thermal control system regulates the temperature inside the battery. The integrated inverter and software switch the stored DC to AC and dispatch power when it is needed.
  4. Any excess power present after the battery is charged goes to the grid. If you are on a net metering program, you receive credits. You can program your battery to charge from the grid during lower rate periods and distribute the stored power into the grid during more expensive rate periods.

Protect your energy.

Harness the power of independence.
