Yes Solar Solutions partnered with Argand Energy Solutions to install a leased system on the roof of Dorcas Ministries, located in Cary, NC in a building that also houses Habitat for Humanity ReStore. This represents a concerted effort by local businesses to create a partnership benefiting the two solar companies and the non-profit. It fits with the Yes business strategy of making solar energy accessible to those who need it most, and provides Dorcas Ministries with an income stream, and provides the community with the positive environmental impact. The photovoltaic array consists of 884 panels, providing enough energy to power about 30 homes a year. The ribbon cutting was joyous, with one of the clients taking the microphone to attest to the positive effect Dorcas Ministries had on her life.
Although the solar array is owned by a third party who made the initial investment, in addition to receiving a lease payment over the next few years, Dorcas will have the opportunity to buy the system in about seven years. What a great example of how solar can impact the environment, the community, and local businesses.
