Yes Solar Solutions has announced an Instant Cash Rebate for a solar system contracted by December 21, 2015 for installation in 2016. With the expiration of the North Carolina renewable energy income tax credit on 12/31/15, solar installers have reached capacity for 2015 installations. But Yes Solar has found a way to still make it a good investment for homeowners to go solar. The federal tax credit for solar of 30% does not expire until 12/31/16. We expect another busy year with homeowners wanting to take advantage of the tax credit and we want to be able to meet the demand with a head start. With a residential roof mounted solar system contract signed by 12/21/15, Yes is offering $250 per kilowatt instant cash rebate for a system (not financed). We still have financing options but the instant cash rebate would not apply.
