Their mushrooms are all grown indoors in a controlled environment utilizing sustainable farming practices. Controlling and regulating the optimal mushroom growing conditions at Fox Farms requires a massive amount of electricity.
Yes Solar installed a 52.92kW system to help offset the company’s electricity bills and move to a more sustainable method of producing this electricity. The system includes 108 Silfab panels, 108 SolarEdge optimizers, and 3 SolarEdge inverters. The solar system has an estimated yearly production of 57,295 kWh.

Solarize the Triangle is a community-based group-purchasing program for solar energy, battery storage, and other clean energy technologies.
The 2022 Solarize the Triangle program was conducted across 11 communities and set a national record as the largest Solarize program in the country with 1,500 people signing up for free evaluations in a single campaign.
More than 180 home and business owners ultimately signed contracts to purchase renewable energy systems for their properties through the program, yielding 2.4 million kWh of annual energy production, more than $300,000 in annual utility bill savings, and nearly $6 million in new clean energy development locally.
