Dave Parker of Effect Energy in Garner, NC has had a goal of having his own solar photovoltaic system for a long time.
Effect Energy is certified under the Sustainable Sandhills Sustainable Green Business program, is a HERS, Energy Star, and RESNET certified energy professional. The 65% tax credit combined with the Progress Energy Sunsense rebate program made his decision easy.
Dave’s building has a flat roof, which required removing gravel, cement blocks to ballast the system of 22 Yingli 230 watt panels and a Fronius inverter for a 5.06 kW solar array. Once the gravel was moved back, Dave had his own rooftop solar system.
Dave Parker later went on to create E2 Technologies, which provides home owners & businesses with easy automation of security and energy savings. It is headquartered in Garner, North Carolina and serves North Carolina. E2 Technologies is veteran and minority owned.
